Greenbacks!
Since I am pretty settled on Vintage 30s in my Recto cab I wanted to get something with a different flavor in my Marshall 1960a cab. It had a G12-T75 / V30 X pattern going on.
I always liked Greenbacks so I figured that this would be a good cab to throw a quad in...

Mesa Dual Rectifier Boosts
Used a Gibson Explorer with Bare Knuckle Pickups Black Dogs. The Recto was set on Ch. 3 Modern and is running through a Mesa Recto 4x12. The cab is miked up with a Shure SM57 and Sennheiser MD421.
Boosts -
Ibanez TS-9
MXR GT-OD
Protone Misha Sig
Boss SD-1
Boss Metal Zone (hehehe)
Fulltone OCD (v4)
MXR Classic OD (in ZW-44 mode)
Boss OD-3
Recording was done using the Recto model boosted with a TS 808 in Amplitube 3 - this is the tone that is in the intro part while I was playing.
My favorite was the Protone Misha pedal just because the controls seem to have a wider sweep so that you can really dial in some different tones right from the pedal. The TS-9, SD-1, and MXR pedals all sound great although the controls don't have as much versatility.
The Metal Zone was fun... instant brutality.
The OCD was good but there was something about the character of the pedal that I did not like - either the boost was not enough or too much, and in the room the low end didn't tighten up the way I like. The OD-3 was too saturated even at mid level/no gain and did not tighten up the low end in the least.
